Chartering Operator at Erik Thun AB
We are looking for a chartering operator who wants to be involved in driving our daily operations forward and creating value in every transport.
This is a business-oriented and operational role where you work closely with our vessels, customers and partners, with a focus on ensuring efficient, profitable and well-functioning transports.
You will enter a situation where we are in an expansive phase with major investments in the fleet of the future. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a central role in the business, where you contribute to both the daily operations and our continued development.
Your everyday life
In the role of charter operator, you work broadly with ship operations and transport flows. You are an important link between ships, customers, agents and internal functions, ensuring that each voyage is carried out as efficiently as possible.
The work is varied and involves both planning, follow-up and ongoing problem solving. You work closely with colleagues and external partners, and are involved in creating structure, control and profitability in our business.
Among other things, you will:
- Work with vessel operational tasks in the daily operations
- Prepare pre- and post-calculations for transport
- Calculate bunker costs and CO2 emissions
- Document the ships’ port calls
- Manage invoicing and coding and factual review of incoming invoices
- Communicate with ships, agents and brokers
- Negotiate with subcontractors regarding compensation and terms
- Visit ships and support our subsidiary OP Ship when needed
The role involves close collaboration with several parts of the organization and gives you a good insight into the entire transport chain.

Head of Digitalization at Erik Thun AB
Take the helm as Head of Digitalization! Drive strategy, AI, and data-driven development in a business-critical role with significant influence.
We are looking for a Head of Digitalization who wants to take full ownership of our digital development and help drive the company forward. This is a business-oriented role focused on creating tangible value.
You will join at a stage where much is already in place, but where we now need to become more structured, more data-driven, and better at prioritizing the right initiatives. There are great opportunities to influence, shape, and make a real impact—especially within areas such as AI and cybersecurity, where we see strong development potential.
Your Role
As Head of Digitalization, you will work across a broad scope—from strategy to execution. You are expected to define direction and strategy, while also ensuring that initiatives are implemented and deliver results.
A key part of your role will be understanding the business and translating needs into concrete initiatives. You will work closely with management and operations, connecting these areas and ensuring that digital initiatives are anchored and executed throughout the organization.
You will, among other things:
- Define and drive our digitalization strategy with a strong business focus
- Prioritize initiatives that deliver the greatest impact, both short- and long-term
- Identify and realize opportunities within AI to streamline processes and enhance decision-making
- Lead projects that improve processes and ways of working across the organization and onboard our vessels
- Contribute to our BI efforts and develop how we work with reporting and KPIs
- Be responsible for our overall system landscape and integrations
- Ensure a high level of information and cybersecurity, including implementing relevant frameworks such as NIS2 in a business-oriented and practical way
- Manage and lead our IT resources
- Collaborate with subsidiaries and external partners
- Drive change management and ensure that new ways of working are successfully implemented
- Have experience driving digitalization and business development
- Are used to leading projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Have a strong business mindset and prioritize operational needs
- Have experience with data-driven work, BI, and AI
- Have an understanding of information and cybersecurity
- Understand systems, integrations, and data flows
- Hold a relevant academic degree
